How to choose the suitable elevator air conditioner?


 In the hot summer, people enjoy the coolness; in the cold winter, they keep warm. With its unique temperature regulation function, air conditioners cool when it's hot and warm when it's cold. They have quickly entered every household and become an indispensable appliance in people's lives, creating a comfortable environment like spring all year round for people.

    With the continuous progress of the social economy and the gradual acceleration of people's life pace, high-rise buildings are constantly being expanded and developed in real life. Elevators have become one of the common facilities in our lives, especially in commercial centers, major shopping malls, hotels, hospitals, and high-rise residential buildings, where elevators are indispensable. Their existence has also brought a lot of convenience to people. The elevator car is a relatively enclosed space. Therefore, when passengers take the elevator, they will feel very stuffy and hot in the hot summer and rather damp and cold in the cold winter. The elevator air conditioning system is designed to solve the unpleasant feelings of passengers when taking the elevator and provide them with a comfortable riding environment.

  However, as a complex electrical appliance, the elevator air conditioner has many indicators and performances that leave the public confused.   First: Select an air conditioner of the appropriate type based on the elevator's load capacity: if the elevator's passenger capacity is less than 1350 kg or more, 1350 kg is a dividing point for the elevator's load capacity. Different types of air conditioners should be sought for both below and above. Generally, there is a limited load capacity in elevators, which means that the load capacity must never be exceeded. This not only affects the operational efficiency of the elevator, shortens its service life, but may also cause danger. Therefore, when choosing an elevator air conditioner, the first step is to select a matching elevator type based on this load capacity dividing point.

  

      Second: Select the appropriate cooling (heating) capacity air conditioning product based on the area of the elevator space: 2500 W and 3500 W are the current conventional cooling and heating values. Generally, the appropriate cooling capacity should be chosen according to the size of the elevator car. In cold weather areas or based on personal needs, elevator air conditioners with heating functions can also be selected. An air conditioner with insufficient cooling capacity not only fails to provide adequate cooling effect, but also, due to continuous operation for a long time, shortens the service life of the air conditioner and increases the possibility of it malfunctioning. So, is it definitely better to choose an air conditioner with a larger cooling capacity? In fact, that's not the case. In reality, if the cooling capacity of an air conditioner is too large, it will cause the thermostat to start and turn on too frequently, which will continuously increase the wear on the air conditioner's compressor and also lead to a continuous increase in the air conditioner's power consumption.


     Third: Select the appropriate elevator air conditioner based on the circulating air volume (m3/h) of the air conditioner: Usually, if an air conditioner has an outlet air volume, there will inevitably be a return air volume. The size of this air volume is related to the elevator space. Within a certain elevator space, there must be a certain proportional coefficient relationship between the outlet air volume and the return air volume to ensure that there will be no condensation water or evaporation atomization in the elevator, which could lead to water leakage. To be more specific, the elevator air conditioning is installed on the top of the elevator car, and the ambient temperature on the top of the car is much higher than the normal outdoor temperature. It includes the heat generated by the elevator and the air conditioning equipment themselves, the heat conduction in the enclosed elevator car roof, the heat of solar radiation, the heat of the infiltration air through the gaps and the fresh air, etc. If the air circulation volume of the air conditioner is too small, the return air volume will also be very small. This will inevitably cause a small air circulation in the roof of the car, directly affecting the cooling effect. It will also form condensate water, thereby affecting the normal use of the elevator. Therefore, to ensure the dryness of the environment where the air conditioner is installed, it is necessary to first select an air conditioner with an appropriate circulating air volume.


     Fourth: Choose an elevator air conditioner of the appropriate size based on the actual space size of the elevator car roof: Under normal circumstances, elevator air conditioners are usually installed on the elevator car, but in reality, the positions of many elevator car roofs are not the same. The installation is much more complicated than that of household air conditioners. If not installed properly, abnormal noises, dripping water, poor cooling and other malfunction phenomena may occur at any time. In addition, the different dimensions of the elevator air conditioner, such as length, width and height, also indicate the weight of the air conditioner, and this parameter often has a significant impact on the elevator as well. Therefore, before purchasing an elevator air conditioner, it is essential to refer to the actual position of the elevator roof for selection.


     Fifth: Choose a high-quality elevator air conditioner based on its performance indicators: use a well-known brand compressor, as the compressor is the heart of the air conditioner, and a good heart is of vital importance. High-quality and efficient materials such as heat exchangers, evaporators, condensers, and outer shell plating parts also need to be taken into consideration. It should also be equipped with functions such as timed switch and fresh air exchange. As the elevator car is sealed on all four sides, it is in a relatively sealed environment. If the elevator is fully loaded and there are many people, it is very likely to cause secondary pollution. Therefore, it is necessary to choose a fresh air exchange function that is specially designed according to the requirements of human health (that is, to draw air from the elevator shaft and supply fresh air to the car in the form of fresh air exchange). Especially suitable for elevators in public places such as high-end hotels, government agencies, hospitals, office buildings and residential buildings.


     Sixth: Select the appropriate elevator air conditioner based on the environmental and usage requirements of the elevator. Since different buildings have different actual needs, it is recommended to take the functional requirements of the building's usage as the premise. Some require a timed on/off function, some require a constant temperature setting, some require environmental protection and health, and some require high efficiency and energy conservation, etc. Therefore, when facing the problem of how to choose an elevator air conditioner, It is also necessary to fully consider the actual functional requirements of the elevator when making a choice.
